Esta carta seria benéfica em um deck de midrange ou controle que se concentra na interação com o cemitério e na negação de recursos, pois fornece uma fonte constante de valor e interrupção. Embora Klothys, God of Destiny seja uma carta forte por si só, outras opções como Scavenging Ooze ou Tarmogoyf podem ser escolhas melhores em certas situações devido ao seu impacto imediato no tabuleiro.
