Um deck que se beneficia de Keranos, God of Storms seria um deck de controle ou médio que foca em feitiços azuis e vermelhos, com o objetivo de manter uma alta devoção a essas cores para ter Keranos ativo de forma consistente como um poderoso mecanismo de vantagem de cartas e ferramenta de remoção. Embora Keranos seja uma carta forte no deck certo, pode haver opções melhores dependendo da estratégia e do meta específicos, como Teferi, Time Raveler ou Jace, the Mind Sculptor em decks de controle, ou Chandra, Torch of Defiance em decks de médio porte.
