Guardião de Tazeem, Criatura — esfinge, desenhada por Zack Stella lançada primeiramente em Oct, 2015 na edição Battle for Zendikar Promos e foi impressa exatamente em 2 formas diferentes.

Um deck focado em controlar o tabuleiro e perturbar a estratégia do oponente se beneficiaria ao incluir o Guardião de Tazeem, pois ele fornece uma maneira consistente de desativar criaturas e potencialmente mantê-las bloqueadas com sua habilidade de landfall. Embora possam existir cartas de controle mais poderosas disponíveis em Magic: The Gathering, como Comando Criptográfico ou Teferi, o Viajante do Tempo, o Guardião de Tazeem ainda pode ser uma adição valiosa no deck certo, especialmente em uma estratégia que visa retardar as ameaças do oponente e manter o controle do tabuleiro.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

Guardian of Tazeem’s landfall ability can target a creature that’s already tapped. If the land that caused it to trigger was an Island, that creature won’t untap during its controller’s next untap step.

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
