A deck that includes Pokémon with high-damage attacks that can benefit from the additional 20 damage boost provided by Muscle Band XY 121 would benefit from using this card. While Muscle Band can be a useful tool in decks looking to increase damage output, Choice Band is generally preferred in competitive play for its ability to do 30 more damage to Pokémon-EX and Pokémon-GX. Nevertheless, Muscle Band can still see play in decks that focus on non-EX or non-GX Pokémon with strong attacks and can benefit from the extra damage boost.
