Thrill-Kill Assassin, Creature — human assassin, designed by Tyler Jacobson first released in May, 2020 in the set Return to Ravnica and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Thrill-Kill Assassin would be a strong addition to a black aggro deck looking to apply early pressure and control the board with its deathtouch ability. However, there are better options like Vampire Nighthawk that offer flying and lifelink in addition to deathtouch, providing more versatility and survivability. While Thrill-Kill Assassin may not be the top choice, it could still see play in a budget or theme deck where its Unleash ability can be leveraged effectively.

A creature with unleash can’t block if it has any +1/+1 counter on it, not just one put on it by the unleash ability.

You make the choice to have the creature with unleash enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter or not as it’s entering the battlefield. At that point, it’s too late for a player to respond to the creature spell by trying to counter it, for example.
