This Ivysaur card would benefit a grass-type deck focused on healing and energy acceleration, as its Leech Seed attack allows for sustain and its Vine Whip attack deals decent damage for its cost. However, in a competitive setting, there are better stage 1 grass-type Pokémon cards with stronger attacks and abilities, such as Rillaboom from the Sword & Shield expansion. While Ivysaur may be a fun inclusion in casual play, it may not see much play in more competitive decks.
