About Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign

Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, Legendary creature — sphinx, designed by Chris Rahn first released in Nov, 2016 in the set Treasure Chest and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's a key card in 2 combos.

Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign would be a great addition to a control or midrange deck that focuses on manipulating the top of the library and taking advantage of odd-costed spells. While Yennett's ability to cast spells for free can lead to explosive plays, the randomness of the effect may not always be reliable. However, if built around effectively, Yennett can provide a unique and powerful advantage. Other cards like Aminatou, the Fateshifter or Narset, Parter of Veils may offer more consistent value in similar strategies, but Yennett's ability to surprise opponents with unexpected free spells makes her a fun and potentially impactful inclusion in the right deck.

Rules

07/13/18

Because all attackers are chosen at once, a spell cast this way can’t affect which creatures you can attack with, but it can affect which creatures will be able to block.

07/13/18

If a spell has in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X if you cast it without paying its mana cost.

07/13/18

If the revealed card doesn’t have an odd converted mana cost or if that card does but you choose not to cast it, you draw a card. Keep in mind that revealing a card doesn’t cause it to change zones. This means that the card you draw will be the card you revealed.
