About Waste Away

Waste Away, Instant, designed by Alan Pollack first released in Feb, 2002 in the set Torment.

This card, Waste Away, would fit well in a black control deck looking to disrupt the opponent's board by removing threats. While it provides a significant -5/-5 debuff, the additional cost of discarding a card may limit its efficiency compared to other removal spells like Murder or Fatal Push, which do not require discarding. However, in a deck focused on graveyard synergies or card advantage, Waste Away could find a niche spot, but it may not be a staple in most competitive decks.
