Trepanation Blade would be beneficial in a mill or aggressive deck that aims to quickly reduce the opponent's library size and power up its creatures. However, there are better options available such as Sword of Body and Mind, which not only mills but also creates creature tokens, providing more value. Trepanation Blade could see play in a casual or budget deck, but for competitive play, there are stronger equipment choices available.
