Ravenous Trap is particularly beneficial in graveyard-centric decks, especially those that aim to disrupt opponents' strategies that rely on graveyard interactions, such as Dredge or Reanimator decks. It can fit well in control or midrange decks that utilize black mana, as it can be cast for free under the right conditions, allowing for efficient graveyard hate. However, there are other cards like Leyline of the Void or Rest in Peace that offer more permanent solutions to graveyard strategies, as they prevent cards from even reaching the graveyard in the first place.
