Font of Agonies, Enchantment, designed by Jason A. Engle first released in Jan, 2019 in the set Ravnica Allegiance and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Font of Agonies would be a great addition to a black control deck that focuses on managing the board through removal spells and life manipulation. While it can provide targeted creature removal at a low cost, it may not be as efficient as other removal spells like Fatal Push or Murderous Rider. However, in a deck that can consistently pay life and generate blood counters, Font of Agonies could find a niche role as a versatile removal option.

The first ability of Font of Agonies is a triggered ability, not an activated ability. It doesn’t allow you to pay life whenever you want; rather, you need some other way of paying life, such as with Blood Crypt’s ability.
