However, a more versatile and efficient alternative would be Assassin's Trophy, which can destroy any permanent at instant speed for just 1 more mana. Drag to the Roots could see situational play in specific graveyard-focused strategies, but overall, Assassin's Trophy is a stronger and more widely applicable card for removal in most decks.
