About Battle Cage PFL 116

Battle Cage PFL 116, Trainer - stadium, designed by MARINA Chikazawa first released in Dec, 2025 in the set Phantasmal Flames.

Battle Cage PFL 116 fits best in decks that rely on keeping fragile, low-HP Benched Pokémon safe from spread damage and damage-counter placement effects—such as evolution-based decks that need time to set up (e.g., Stage 2 engines), or combo decks that bench small support Pokémon like draw engines or utility Pokémon vulnerable to snipe damage from effects like Sableye’s Lost Mine or Radiant Greninja’s Moonlight Shuriken (though note it only stops damage counters from effects, not regular attack damage). It’s particularly useful in metas heavy with damage-counter placement strategies rather than straightforward attack damage. However, there are often stronger or more flexible Stadiums depending on format, such as Manaphy (Wave Veil) in Standard formats, which more broadly protects the Bench from attack damage, or Path to the Peak, which can disrupt ability-reliant decks more universally. Because Stadium slots are highly competitive and format-dependent, Battle Cage is generally a niche
