A deck that focuses on big mana plays and casting high-cost spells would benefit from using Apex of Power, especially if it can take advantage of the ten mana it generates when cast from hand. However, there are better options available like Expropriate or Time Stretch that provide more impactful effects for their mana cost, making Apex of Power less likely to see play in competitive decks but could still be fun in more casual or themed decks centered around casting big spells.

Any cards not cast, including land cards, remain in exile.

Apex of Power doesn’t change when you can cast the exiled cards. For example, if you exile a sorcery card, you can cast it only during your main phase when the stack is empty.
