Een controle- of molendek zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Stream of Thought in Magic: the Gathering, omdat het zowel het verstoren van de bibliotheek van de tegenstander mogelijk maakt als het recyclen van sleutelkaarten van het kerkhof. Er zijn echter potentieel betere kaarten voor deze strategieën, zoals Glimpse the Unthinkable of Mission Briefing, die efficiëntere opties voor milling of graveyard recursion bieden. Stream of Thought zou spel kunnen zien in specifieke deck-builds die een unieke combinatie van effecten vereisen, maar het is misschien geen hoofdbestanddeel in de meeste competitieve decks.

Stream of Thought is still on the stack while you choose cards in your graveyard to shuffle into your library. It can’t shuffle itself into your library.

The copies that replicate creates are created on the stack, so they’re not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger.

You choose which cards to shuffle into your library while Stream of Thought is resolving. If you target yourself with Stream of Thought, you may choose any of the four cards that you put into your graveyard or any cards that were there before.
