A deck that focuses on controlling the board and disrupting your opponent's creatures would benefit from including Rock Basilisk, as it can effectively remove threats during combat. However, in a competitive Magic: The Gathering environment, there are more efficient options like Polukranos, World Eater or Questing Beast that offer additional abilities and value for their mana cost. While Rock Basilisk has a unique effect, its high mana cost and limited scope may make it less optimal for most decks, unless specifically built around its ability.
