Kestia, de Cultivator is vooral nuttig in kaartspellen met betoveringsthema, zoals die zijn opgebouwd rond de archetypen Enchantment of Aura, waar je de waarde van zowel het schenkingsvermogen als het kaarttrekkingseffect kunt maximaliseren. Decks die gebruik maken van kaarten als Sram, Senior Edificer of Eidolon of Blossoms kunnen verder profiteren van de betoveringsynergie, waardoor Kestia een sterke toevoeging wordt. Hoewel er andere krachtige betoveringswezens zijn, zoals Eidolon of Blossoms of Sigil of the Empty Throne, die ook kaarten kunnen trekken, maakt Kestia's vermogen om een aanzienlijke krachtboost en kaartvoordeel te bieden in gevechten haar tot een unieke en waardevolle optie. Over het geheel genomen zou Kestia spel in het juiste kaartspel moeten zien, vooral in formaten waar betoveringssynergieën prominent aanwezig zijn.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a bestow cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.

Unlike other Aura spells, an Aura spell with bestow still resolves if its target is illegal. Instead of entering the battlefield as an Aura, the effect making it an Aura spell ends, it loses enchant creature, and it resolves and enters the battlefield as an enchantment creature.
