Een deck dat profiteert van Fist of Suns is er een dat dure spreuken wil uitspreken zonder zich zorgen te hoeven maken over hun manavereisten, zoals een vijfkleurendeck met krachtige, dure spreuken. Hoewel Fist of Suns in bepaalde situaties nuttig kan zijn, wordt het over het algemeen als te traag en kwetsbaar beschouwd voor competitief spel in vergelijking met andere mana-fixing-opties zoals Chromatic Lantern of Coalition Relic.
