Verkleinen, Direct, designed by Ryan Pancoast first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Een controledek in een op blauw gebaseerde strategie zou er baat bij hebben Downsize in hun kaartspel op te nemen als een manier om bedreigingen te neutraliseren door hun macht te verminderen. Hoewel Downsize in bepaalde situaties effectief kan zijn, zijn er potentieel betere opties zoals Vapor Snag of Unsummon, die veelzijdigere verwijderingsopties bieden. Downsize zou kunnen spelen in specifieke metagames waarbij het verminderen van kracht cruciaal is, maar het is misschien geen hoofdbestanddeel van de meeste decklijsten.

Casting a spell with overload doesn’t change that spell’s mana cost. You just pay the overload cost instead.

If you are instructed to cast a spell with overload “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t choose to pay its overload cost instead.

If you don’t pay the overload cost of a spell, that spell will have a single target. If you pay the overload cost, the spell won’t have any targets.

Note that if the spell with overload is dealing damage, protection from that spell’s color will still prevent that damage.
