This Chardalyn Dragon card would be a great addition to a midrange or control deck in Magic: The Gathering, as its high cost and powerful Flying ability make it a strong finisher. However, in competitive play, there are better options such as Glorybringer or Thundermaw Hellkite which provide more immediate impact upon entering the battlefield. Chardalyn Dragon could still see play in a slower, more controlling deck looking for a resilient threat, but it may not be the optimal choice in more competitive environments.
