Asportare, Istantaneo, progettato da Jon Foster rilasciato per la prima volta Feb, 2007 in redazione Planar Chaos ed è stato stampato esattamente in 3 forme diverse.
Estirpare è una carta potente che può essere utile in un mazzo focalizzato sull'interazione con il cimitero o sulla disturbo delle strategie combo, specialmente in formati come Modern o Legacy dove ci sono pezzi combo chiave che possono essere presi di mira. Mentre Estirpare è una scelta solida, alcuni mazzi potrebbero preferire Estrazione Chirurgica per la sua flessibilità di costo mana Phyrexiano o Linea del Vuoto per un odio più ampio verso il cimitero. Tuttavia, Estirpare può comunque essere giocato nei sideboard o in metagame specifici dove le sue abilità uniche sono particolarmente efficaci.

Because the first step of casting a spell is to move it from the zone it’s in, Extirpate can’t be used to stop a spell with flashback from being cast after its controller has announced that they’re casting it.

Split second doesn’t stop triggered abilities from triggering, such as that of Chalice of the Void. If one does, its controller puts it on the stack and chooses targets for it, if any. Those abilities will resolve as normal.
