Un deck qui se concentre sur le contrôle du total de vie de l'adversaire ou la manipulation des états de jeu bénéficierait de l'inclusion de Sorin Markov. Cependant, il existe des cartes plus efficaces et polyvalentes disponibles dans l'univers Magic: The Gathering qui offrent des effets similaires, comme Liliana of the Veil ou Liliana, the Last Hope, qui offrent une valeur et un impact plus cohérents sur le jeu.
