Huile brûlante, Éphémère, conçu par Trevor Claxton sorti pour la première fois en May, 2020 dans l'édition Dark Ascension.

L'huile brûlante serait un excellent ajout à un deck aggro rouge ou brûlure dans Magic: the Gathering, offrant une suppression efficace pour les créatures attaquant ou bloquant. Cependant, il existe de meilleures options comme Lightning Bolt ou Lightning Helix qui offrent plus de polyvalence et d'efficacité en termes de coût et de dégâts. L'huile brûlante pourrait tout de même être jouée dans un deck économique ou comme option de sideboard contre les stratégies axées sur les créatures.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.

“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
