Déflexion, Éphémère, conçu par Mike Raabe sorti pour la première fois en Jun, 1995 dans l'édition Ice Age et a été imprimé exactement dans 11 formes différentes.
Un deck de contrôle axé sur la perturbation de la stratégie de l'adversaire bénéficierait d'inclure Déviation dans leur deck, car il peut rediriger efficacement des sorts clés pour perturber les plans de leur adversaire. Bien que la Déviation puisse être puissante dans certaines situations, il existe des cartes plus polyvalentes et impactantes comme Contresort ou Redirection qui sont généralement considérées comme de meilleures options pour les decks de contrôle. Cependant, en fonction du méta spécifique et de la stratégie du deck, la Déviation pourrait toujours être jouée comme une option de sideboard pour certains matchs où rediriger un sort pourrait être particulièrement impactant.

If a spell targets multiple things, you can’t target it with Deflection, even if all but one of those targets has become illegal.

You can choose to make a spell on the stack target this spell (if such a target choice would be legal had the spell been cast while this spell was on the stack). The new target for the deflected spell is not chosen until this spell resolves. This spell is still on the stack when new targets are selected for the spell.
