About Predatory Advantage

Predatory Advantage, Enchantment, designed by Raymond Swanland first released in Apr, 2009 in the set Alara Reborn.

This card, Predatory Advantage, would benefit a deck that focuses on controlling the board and preventing opponents from casting creature spells. Decks that aim to disrupt the opponent's creature-based strategies or slow down aggressive creature decks would find this card useful. While there may be more powerful enchantments available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Blood Moon or Sylvan Library, Predatory Advantage could still see play in certain metagames or sideboard strategies where its ability to generate creature tokens provides value and pressure opponents.

Rules

05/01/09

In a Two-Headed Giant game, Predatory Advantage’s ability triggers twice at the end of the opposing team’s turn: once for each player. If neither of those players cast a creature spell that turn, you’ll get two Lizards. If one of those players cast a creature spell but the other didn’t, you’ll get one Lizard.

05/01/09

Predatory Advantage’s ability has an “intervening ‘if’ clause.” That means (1) the ability won’t trigger at all unless the opponent whose turn it is didn’t cast a creature spell that turn, and (2) the ability will do nothing unless the opponent whose turn it is still hasn’t cast a creature spell by the time it resolves.
