Kothophed, Soul Hoarder, Legendary creature — demon, designed by Tianhua X first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.
A deck focused on sacrificing opponent's permanents or causing them to go to the graveyard would benefit from including Kothophed, Soul Hoarder, as it provides card advantage and life loss for the opponent. However, there are better cards like Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos that offer similar effects more consistently. Kothophed could see play in a casual or themed deck, but in competitive formats, more efficient options may be preferred.
