About Vulturous Zombie

Vulturous Zombie, Creature — plant zombie, designed by Greg Staples first released in Oct, 2005 in the set Ravnica: City of Guilds and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.

A deck that focuses on milling or discarding cards from the opponent's library or hand would benefit from including Vulturous Zombie, as it can quickly grow in power with the +1/+1 counters whenever cards are put into the opponent's graveyard. However, there are potentially better cards for this strategy, such as Tarmogoyf or Death's Shadow, which offer more immediate and consistent power. Whether Vulturous Zombie should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, as it can be a powerful threat if the conditions are right.

Rules

10/01/05

The ability doesn’t care why a card goes to your opponent’s graveyard — only that it does. The ability triggers when a card is put into your opponent’s graveyard from the stack (a spell resolves, fails to resolve, or is countered), from the battlefield (a permanent is destroyed or sacrificed), from the player’s hand (a card is discarded), from the player’s library (from a Millstone-like effect), or from any other zone.
