About Volcanic Awakening

Volcanic Awakening, Sorcery, designed by Dan Murayama Scott first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral.

Volcanic Awakening would be most beneficial in a red control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's mana base and slow down their game plan. While it can be powerful in certain situations, there are better land destruction cards available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Stone Rain or Molten Rain, which are more efficient and versatile. Volcanic Awakening may see play in specific metagames where land destruction is crucial, but overall, it may not be a top choice for competitive decks.

Rules

06/07/13

A copy of a spell can be countered like any other spell, but it must be countered individually. Countering a spell with storm won’t affect the copies.

06/07/13

The copies are put directly onto the stack. They aren’t cast and won’t be counted by other spells with storm cast later in the turn.

06/07/13

You may choose new targets for any of the copies. You can choose differently for each copy.
