The Royal Scions would be a great fit in a tempo or control deck that aims to draw cards, filter through the deck, and maintain board presence with the creature buff ability. While it provides card advantage and can potentially deal a significant amount of damage with its ultimate ability, there may be better options for more competitive decks, such as Jace, the Mind Sculptor or Teferi, Time Raveler, which offer more versatile and impactful abilities for their mana cost. However, The Royal Scions could still see play in more casual or thematic decks that focus on card draw and aggressive strategies.
