About Star-Crossed

Star-Crossed, Spell, designed by Kudos Productions first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Unleashed.

**Star-Crossed** is best suited for tempo‑oriented or combo decks that benefit from replaying their own units—especially those with strong *enter-the-battlefield* effects—while simultaneously disrupting an opponent’s key threat mid‑stack thanks to its Reaction speed. It shines in bounce/value shells, spell‑tempo lists, or decks that can replay cheap units efficiently to gain incremental advantage, but it’s weaker in slower control decks that don’t leverage unit recursion. If the format includes more efficient single‑target bounce (e.g., a 2‑cost spell that returns only an enemy unit) or broader disruption (such as a counterspell that stops a spell entirely), those are often stronger in pure control builds because they avoid giving the opponent their unit back at a potentially advantageous time. However, Star-Crossed’s flexibility and stack interaction give it unique tactical value, so it should see play primarily in synergy‑driven tempo decks rather than as a generic inclusion.
