About Rain of Thorns

Rain of Thorns, Sorcery, designed by Sam Burley first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

A deck that focuses on controlling the board by disrupting opponents' artifacts, enchantments, and lands would benefit from including Rain of Thorns in its strategy. While Rain of Thorns offers versatility by targeting multiple permanent types, there are more efficient options available such as Acidic Slime or Reclamation Sage for specific removal needs. Overall, Rain of Thorns could see play in certain metas or sideboard situations, but it may not be a staple card in most decks due to its high mana cost and limited scope compared to other removal spells.
