About Magcargo CEC 27

Magcargo CEC 27, Pokémon - stage 1, designed by Miki Tanaka first released in May, 2022 in the set Cosmic Eclipse.

Magcargo CEC 27 could fit well in a discard or mill-themed deck, where the goal is to deplete the opponent's deck quickly while also dealing damage with Flamethrower. Its ability to discard the top two cards of the opponent's deck with Stomp Off can synergize with cards that benefit from opponent's deck depletion. However, there are arguably better options like Gardevoir (from the same set) that can provide more consistent damage output and support for energy acceleration. While Magcargo has its niche, it may not see widespread play due to its relatively high retreat cost and the need to discard energy, making it less efficient compared to other more versatile cards.
