Hundred-Handed One, Creature — giant, designed by Brad Rigney first released in Sep, 2013 in the set Theros and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card, Hundred-Handed One, would be a valuable addition to a control deck that focuses on stalling the game and defending against multiple threats. Its ability to block an additional ninety-nine creatures when monstrous makes it an excellent defensive option against wide strategies. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering, there are more efficient and impactful cards available for similar mana costs that could provide better utility or win conditions, such as Baneslayer Angel or Lyra Dawnbringer. While Hundred-Handed One has its niche uses, it may not see widespread play in highly optimized decks due to its high mana cost and situational effectiveness.

An ability that triggers when a creature becomes monstrous won’t trigger if that creature isn’t on the battlefield when its monstrosity ability resolves.

Once a creature becomes monstrous, it can’t become monstrous again. If the creature is already monstrous when the monstrosity ability resolves, nothing happens.
