Rand van waanzin, Betovering, designed by Donato Giancola first released in Feb, 1999 in the set Urza's Legacy and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A control deck that focuses on emptying both the opponent's hand and their own hand would benefit from using Brink of Madness to disrupt the opponent's strategy. However, since Brink of Madness requires you to have no cards in hand to trigger its ability, it may be more situational and risky to use compared to other hand disruption cards like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek, which have more flexibility and can be played earlier in the game. Ultimately, Brink of Madness could see play in specific decks looking for a unique hand disruption effect, but there are likely better options available.
