About Appetite for Brains

Appetite for Brains, Sorcery, designed by Michael C. Hayes first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

A deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's strategy by removing key cards with high mana value would benefit from using Appetite for Brains. However, there are better alternatives like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek which offer more flexibility and can target any card regardless of its mana value. While Appetite for Brains could see situational play in specific metagames where high-cost cards are prevalent, it may not be a staple in most competitive decks.

Rules

12/07/18

If a card in a player’s hand has in its mana cost, X is considered to be 0.
