Switch (Plasma Freeze 123) is a universal mobility card that fits best in aggressive, tempo-focused decks and combo decks that rely on pivoting—such as decks with fragile but powerful attackers, Pokémon with strong Abilities that you want to promote and then move back to the Bench, or strategies that reset effects like “once during your turn” Abilities by moving in and out of the Active Spot. It’s especially useful in decks with low switching options built into their Energy or Abilities, and in formats where Special Conditions or high Retreat Costs are common. However, there are often stronger alternatives depending on the format: **Switch Cart** (heals 30 from a Basic), **Escape Rope** (forces both players to switch, adding disruption), **Cross Switcher** (gust effect when paired), **Switching Cups** (in specific metas), and especially **Switch** from more recent sets, which functionally does the same thing but may be more format-legal; additionally, **Air Balloon** or **Float Stone**
