About Scarblade Scout

Scarblade Scout, Creature — elf scout, designed by Lorenzo Mastroianni first released in Jan, 2026 in the set Lorwyn Eclipsed. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.

Scarblade Scout is best suited for black-based graveyard or self-mill strategies, such as Golgari (B/G) or Dimir (U/B) decks that want cards in the graveyard for recursion, reanimation, delirium, escape, descend, or other graveyard-scaling mechanics, since its enter-the-battlefield mill fuels those plans while lifelink can help stabilize against aggressive decks. However, at two mana for a likely small body with only lifelink and a modest mill-two trigger, it is generally below rate compared to stronger options like Stitcher’s Supplier (which mills three on entry and again on death), Satyr Wayfinder (which mills four and helps hit lands), or Glowspore Shaman (which mills three and can fix draws), all of which provide more immediate graveyard value. As a result, Scarblade Scout would usually be outclassed in competitive formats and is more likely to see play in casual, budget, or limited environments rather than optimized constructed decks.
