About Rimekin Recluse

Rimekin Recluse, Creature — elemental wizard, designed by Aurore Folny first released in Jan, 2026 in the set Lorwyn Eclipsed.

Rimekin Recluse (2U for a creature that bounces up to one other target creature on ETB) fits best in blue tempo, blink, or value-based midrange decks that want to reuse enter-the-battlefield effects or disrupt opposing tempo while developing a body; it’s especially reasonable in Limited, budget builds, or synergy-heavy Commander decks (e.g., with blink effects like Ghostly Flicker or recursion engines) where repeatedly bouncing creatures generates value. However, in most competitive formats there are stronger options: **Man-o'-War** and **Aether Adept** are classic, efficient versions of this effect; **Brazen Borrower** is far more flexible and powerful in tempo shells; and **Barrin, Tolarian Archmage** or similar cards provide additional value upside. Because it lacks extra stats, flash, card draw, or broader flexibility, Rimekin Recluse is generally outclassed and unlikely to see serious competitive play unless in a very synergy-specific or lower-power environment.
