Minion of Leshrac could be a valuable addition to a control or sacrifice-themed deck in Magic: the Gathering, where the ability to destroy target creatures or lands can disrupt your opponent's strategy. However, its high mana cost and the drawback of dealing damage to you each turn make it a risky choice. There are potentially better options like Grave Titan or Massacre Wurm that offer similar effects without the drawback, making them more efficient choices for competitive play.

If you don’t sacrifice a creature at the beginning of your upkeep (either by choice or because you can’t), but you somehow prevent all the damage Minion of Leshrac would deal to you, then you don’t tap Minion of Leshrac.
