Buffer Piece AR 84, , designed by Ryo Ueda first released in May, 2022 in the set Arceus and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck that focuses on stalling and setting up its own strategy would benefit from using Buffer Piece AR 84, as it provides a defensive shield against opponent's attacks while buying time to build up a strong board presence. However, there are better cards like Big Charm or Cape of Toughness that offer similar protection without the drawback of being discarded after one turn, making them more reliable choices for competitive play. Buffer Piece could still see play in certain niche strategies that require temporary damage reduction, but overall, there are more efficient options available in the current Pokémon TCG card pool.
05/28/22
Any damage done to the Pokémon this card is attached to by an opponent's attack is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). At the end of your opponent's turn after you played Buffer Piece, discard Buffer Piece.
05/28/22
Attach Buffer Piece to 1 of your Pokémon that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card.
