Salome OP14-106 is a low-cost 3‑cost yellow Blocker with 1000 Power and 1000 Counter, so it fits best in defensive, life‑manipulation, or stall-oriented yellow decks—especially ones like Enel, Katakuri, or other life-focused leaders that benefit from protecting key characters while setting up late-game pressure. However, at only 1000 Power, Salome is extremely fragile for a 3-cost Blocker, as most competitive yellow lists prefer more durable options like Charlotte Brûlée (cheap trigger Blocker utility), Gedatsu (removal plus solid body), or higher-power blockers that force real resource investment to remove; even 2-cost 2000 Power blockers in other colors often provide better board value. Because it trades down into almost anything and doesn’t provide additional value beyond basic blocking, Salome is generally outclassed in competitive play and would rarely see play outside of very niche builds or highly thematic/Animal Kingdom-style lists.
