A deck focused on disruptiveness and control would benefit from using Mudkip RS 59, especially in a water-based themed deck with supportive energy acceleration. However, compared to other basic water Pokémon with higher damage output or supportive abilities in the current meta, such as Lapras VMAX or Blastoise & Piplup-GX, Mudkip RS 59 may not be the best choice for competitive play as it lacks significant power or utility.
