Masumaro, First to Live could be a strong addition to a deck focused on drawing and holding onto a large number of cards, such as a control or card advantage deck. However, its high mana cost and reliance on the number of cards in your hand make it somewhat situational. Other cards like Tarmogoyf or Death's Shadow may offer more consistent power and toughness for their cost in certain decks, so Masumaro may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: the Gathering formats.
