About Manectric MD 40

Manectric MD 40, Pokémon - stage 1, designed by Daisuke Ito first released in May, 2022 in the set Majestic Dawn.

A deck focused on Lightning-type Pokémon with energy acceleration and coin flip manipulation would benefit from including Manectric MD 40, as its Thunder Wave and Volt Crush attacks can potentially deal a significant amount of damage and disrupt the opponent with paralysis. However, there are better stage 1 Lightning-type Pokémon cards available with more reliable and powerful attacks, such as Raikou from the same set, which has a consistent 60 damage attack for a single energy. While Manectric MD 40 may not be a top-tier choice, it could still see play in casual or themed decks for its unique coin flip mechanics and potential for surprise plays.
