Ignition Energy PFL 124 is best suited for fast, Evolution-focused decks that need a burst of Energy for a single explosive turn—such as Stage 1 or Stage 2 attackers that require three Energy but aim to attack immediately, often in combo or surprise-attack strategies where the drawback of discarding at end of turn doesn’t matter. It works particularly well in decks that can repeatedly reattach Energy from the discard pile or only need the boost for one key attack. However, it competes with generally stronger and more flexible options like Double Colorless Energy (Expanded format), Twin Energy (for non-Pokémon V), or Triple Acceleration Energy (which also provides CCC for Evolutions with a similar discard clause but was more widely used due to better timing and support). Because Ignition Energy only provides CCC to Evolutions and always discards at end of turn, it is somewhat niche and would see limited competitive play unless a specific Evolution attacker greatly benefits from a one-tu
