About Dream Beavers

Dream Beavers, Creature — beaver nightmare, designed by Alix Branwyn first released in Feb, 2026 in the set Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Dream Beavers would fit best in a black-based tempo, midrange, or sacrifice deck that values incremental life drain and small flying creatures—especially one that benefits from enter-the-battlefield triggers, lifegain synergies, or blink/recursion effects (like Orzhov or Dimir shells). The 1 life drain plus Scry 1 provides minor value smoothing and chip damage, so it’s most useful in decks that want early evasive pressure while gaining small advantages over time, such as an aristocrats-style deck or a control deck looking for blockers that replace themselves in value. However, unless it’s extremely undercosted (for example, one mana), there are generally stronger options: **Vampire Nighthawk** (or Nighthawk Scavenger) offers lifelink and deathtouch with better combat impact, **Baleful Strix** provides card draw and deathtouch, and **Dusk Legion Zealot** gives a guaranteed card instead of scry. In most competitive formats, this card would likely only see play if its mana cost and stats
