A deck that focuses on Zombie tribal synergies would benefit the most from using Compelling Deterrence in Magic: The Gathering. This card can provide both tempo advantage by returning a nonland permanent to its owner's hand and card advantage by making the opponent discard a card if you control a Zombie. While there may be more versatile or powerful options available, such as Cryptic Command or Force of Negation, Compelling Deterrence can still be a solid inclusion in decks that can consistently meet its Zombie requirement, especially in more casual or thematic Zombie decks.
