Woodland Champion would be a great addition to a token-based deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can quickly grow in power with the accumulation of +1/+1 counters from token creation. However, there are better cards like Voice of Resurgence or Llanowar Elves that may offer more immediate value or utility in certain decks. Woodland Champion could see play in a deck focused on token generation and buffing strategies, but its effectiveness would depend on the overall synergy and game plan of the deck.

The number of +1/+1 counters you put on Woodland Champion is the number of tokens that entered the battlefield under your control, even if some or all of them leave the battlefield before the triggered ability resolves.
