This card, Intellectual Offering, would benefit a control deck that focuses on card advantage and untapping nonland permanents for additional value. While it provides a symmetric effect by allowing both players to draw cards and untap permanents, the control player can strategically use this to their advantage by having more ways to utilize the extra cards drawn and untapped permanents. However, there are better options available such as Fact or Fiction for card advantage and Teferi, Time Raveler for untapping permanents with added control benefits, making Intellectual Offering less optimal for competitive play in most scenarios.
