Choreographed Sparks would fit best in a red-based spellslinger or combo deck that leverages powerful instants and sorceries (like extra turn spells, big burn, or ritual effects) or in a creature-combo shell that wants to double up on high-impact creatures with strong ETB triggers (for example, copying a creature like Dockside Extortionist or a big finisher for immediate value). Its flexibility to copy either a spell or a creature makes it attractive in Izzet (UR) or Jeskai decks that blend creatures and noncreature spells, especially in formats like Commander. However, it faces strong competition: Reverberate, Fork, and Increasing Vengeance are cheaper or more efficient for copying spells, while Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker are often stronger for copying creatures, particularly in combo strategies.
